History of the DoorBoss system
 In 1998 Gerry Muller, the president of a thriving door and hardware distributorship, outgrew the manual management system that had served him well. Shopping for an automated software solution seemed like the natural next step. While Mr Muller had an in depth understanding of the door and hardware industry he was definitely out of his league when it came to software. Mr Muller hired a consultant to evaluate software solutions specifically for the door and hardware business. The consultant had extensive experience in software development and evaluation.
With solutions at that time either being old style DOS applications or addressing only part of the business cycle, the recommendation was to develop his own system. A year later the Door Boss was serving most aspects of his operation and with great success. The design philosophy was to build a modern system that supports business process "best practices" - as opposed to automating exceptions.
A year later Gerry's distributorship was purchaed by a larger organization an Gerry decided to go into the software business with his consultant as partner. Gerris Solutions Inc. was formed and the DoorBoss was used by dozens of clients and continually improved over the next decade.

 In 2010, DoorBoss.com Inc. was formed to take over development and marketing of the DoorBoss system. This new organization provides the framework to further develop the DoorBoss and penetrate international markets while continuing to provide exemplementary service and value to our existing clients. Our singular focus is on the door and hardware distributor and providing them with powerful software applications to run their businesses efficiently and profitably.
DoorBoss.com Inc. is located in Cambridge Ontario, the heart of Canada's "Technology Triangle" with datacenters in Toronto Ontario and Santa Barbara California.
